The green part is from 人にん(nin) person But as you should know it looks more like イ when its used as a piece of another Kanji.
And the black remaining part I have heard refereed to as a spoon. And i can see that.
So we have a shrub, person and a spoon. So the story you need to recall when you see this Kanji is that a person came to some shrubs and planted a Flower with a spoon.
